A breed of lemongrass. Lubricant manufacturers sometimes use extracted cymbopogon oil as a sexual enhancement ingredient; in many cultures, lemongrass is prized for its aphrodisiac qualities.

It also has a fresh, pleasant scent and acts as a mild fungicide. As such, it is fairly effective as a natural preservative. The cymbopogon schoenathus breed is also known as West Indian lemongrass. It is considered a safe lubricant ingredient.
